This product is a powder metallurgy compaction automotive synchronizer ring, a core component of automotive transmission synchronizers. The synchronizer ring uses friction to synchronize the speed of gears during shifting, ensuring smooth gear engagement. The powder metallurgy compaction process presses metal powder into shape in a precision die under high pressure, then sinters at high temperature to metallurgically bond particles, obtaining a high-density, high-strength ring blank. This process is particularly suitable for synchronizer rings with complex shapes, large batches, and high precision. It enables one-piece forming of gear teeth, conical surfaces, oil grooves, and splines, reducing machining and cost.
We use high-quality copper-based alloy powder or iron-based alloy powder, with density up to 6.6~6.9 g/cm³, tensile strength 400-800 MPa, hardness HRC 20-45 (adjustable). Surfaces are sized and post-processed as needed, dimensional tolerance ±0.02-0.05mm, high tooth accuracy, smooth shifting. Copper-based rings offer excellent wear resistance and thermal conductivity, while iron-based rings offer higher strength and load capacity. Surface treatments include sandblasting, phosphating, and black oxide to meet different anti-rust and friction requirements.
