The metal pulleys are meticulously manufactured using a powder metallurgy pressing and forming process, utilizing stainless steel powder as the core material. The surface can be treated for corrosion resistance as needed. They are suitable for synchronous transmission applications in various scenarios, including automated equipment, precision transmission systems, and food machinery, and are a cost-effective alternative to traditional machined metal pulleys.
Metal pulley break through the limitations of traditional cutting and forging processes, employing a core powder metallurgy pressing and forming process. Based on customized precision molds, stainless steel powder is quantitatively filled and then high-pressure formed, creating the complete structure of the pulley in a single step, including the tooth profile, hub steps, and internal spline/keyway. High-temperature sintering at 1100-1300℃ achieves metallurgical bonding of the powder particles, followed by finishing and polishing processes to ensure accuracy. The entire process involves minimal cutting, significantly reducing material loss and processing stress, resulting in a more complete and dimensionally accurate pulley structure, perfectly suited to the precision transmission requirements of metal pulleys.

Product Feature And Application
The core advantages of producing synchronous pulley using powder metallurgy technology are near-net-shape forming, integrated pulley tooth profile and hub structure, and significant advantages in cost, efficiency, and consistency under large-scale production.
(1) The dimensional tolerance of powder metallurgy parts can be controlled within ±0.02mm. The tooth pitch, tooth profile, and bore diameter accuracy of metal pulleys in the same batch are highly consistent, eliminating the human errors inherent in traditional machining.
(2) After sintering, both iron-based and stainless steel materials exhibit tooth strength and wear resistance that match the transmission load of the synchronous belt pulley. Furthermore, there is no deformation caused by cutting stress, resulting in smooth meshing and a low risk of tooth skipping. Blackening treatment can further enhance corrosion resistance and extend service life.
