Guangzhou Guangming Metal Products Co.,Ltd produces copper-based bearing with excellent thermal conductivity and wear resistance. Made from high-quality copper-tin alloy powders with added graphite, these bearings provide reliable performance in medium-load applications where heat dissipation and consistent lubrication are critical.
Using a copper alloy formula and a pressing and sintering process, high density and uniformity of the material are ensured. Copper itself is expensive, and traditional machining from copper rods results in material loss of 30% to 60%. Casting also involves material loss from sprues and risers. Powder metallurgy, however, uses a precise amount of powder for pressing, resulting in minimal waste at the mold parting line. This virtually eliminates material waste, and porous copper-based bearings can even have their porosity adjusted as needed without additional materials. Copper material loss is reduced to less than 5%, resulting in significant raw material cost savings, especially in large-scale production.

Product Feature And Application
Powder metallurgy is the preferred process for the large-scale production of copper-based bearing. Leveraging near-net shaping and porous structures, it perfectly meets the wear resistance, friction reduction, and high-precision requirements of copper-based bearings. Compared to traditional turning, casting, and forging processes, it offers significant advantages in processing efficiency, material utilization, cost control, and product performance consistency. It is particularly well-suited to the copper-based bearing needs of motors, construction machinery, hydraulic equipment, and precision instruments, and can produce various types of copper-based bearing, including solid dense and porous self-lubricating types.1. Near-net shaping: The entire structure of the copper-based bearing is pressed in one piece, drastically reducing machining. The inner bore, outer diameter, steps, flanges, oil grooves, and locating chamfers of the copper-based bearing can all be formed in a single pressing operation using customized precision molds. Only minimal finishing of the mating surfaces is required to achieve assembly accuracy, reducing machining by over 80%. This completely avoids the multiple processing steps of traditional turning processes, significantly shortening the production process.
2. Powder metallurgy allows for flexible production of both dense and porous copper-based bearings by adjusting the pressing pressure and sintering process, perfectly matching different application requirements.
