Gearbox Gear

The gearbox gears are the core components of the lock mechanism. We use highly fluid iron-based powder, and through precision pressing and high-temperature sintering, we form complex gear shapes in a single process. According to customer requirements, the surface is treated with blackening, which enhances the durability of the metal and effectively reduces wear and noise. The overall design of the gearbox is compact, integrating the irregular gear shapes into a single component, ensuring optimal matching of meshing parameters.

Powder metallurgy is a near-net-shape manufacturing process, achieving material utilization rates of over 95%, significantly higher than milling, gear hobbing, and other processes (typically 60-80%), directly reducing the cost of metal materials.

The molding process ensures extremely high repeatability (up to IT7-IT9 grade), with minimal tooth pitch and profile errors. This is crucial for the smooth and low-noise operation of multi-gear transmission systems in smart locks.

The formed surface finish can reach Ra3.2, effectively reducing friction and improving transmission efficiency.
